Sales jobs for recruiters

These days there are more recruitment websites on the internet than ever before, thanks to a boom in the market. Recruitment sales jobs aim to get companies and recruiters advertising their vacancies with your company’s website. This means phoning up potential clients and making a sales pitch.

The sales and services you offer will obviously vary from one employer to the next. The following are some of the more typical services:

  • Posting jobs on the website for jobseekers to browse
  • Keeping the job ad on the home page
  • Access to the company’s database of CVs
  • Email advertising campaigns

There will also be various kinds of packages that can be sold to customers.

To have experience in the industry you are targeting for recruitment will help you do the job better. It is easier to sell advertising for marketing jobs if you have knowledge of the marketing industry. If you are good at sales this will not be a major problem though.

If your site ranks well on google you will sell easier. You need to know where your website excels and where it falls short, so that you know how to make your sales pitch.

Like most sales jobs, these roles require confidence on the telephone. You will be on the phone for a large part of the day, though you will take breaks inbetween. You will therefore obviously enjoy the job a lot more if you are comfortable on the phone.

In the majority of cases you need to have experience that will help you do the job. There are, however, entry level roles if you are patient and look carefully.
